to all the girls out there...

Pretty Hurts.

we girls, we often think that we're ugly, we're not good enough and we never will be good enough. we often see other girls and think to ourselves, "wow, that girl is so perfect. how i wish i could be just like her." but here's the truth. the truth is that, everyone, yes EVERYONE, be it someone who is obese or just slightly overweight, someone who is anorexic or just slightly underweight, everyone, is beautiful. i know it's hard for us to love ourselves, but one day we will all realize that beauty doesn't matter, it doesn't matter at all, but what really matters is our personality. our attitude. yes, that's what matters because a girl with an ugly face can be so nice on the inside, but we never know what a girl with a pretty face could be like. a girl with a pretty face could be just like one of those mean girls. someone whom likes to judge others, someone who thinks so big of themselves. here's a scenario okay. imagine one day, you were asked to join a beauty pageant. you think to yourself "wow, am i that pretty? how could i be chosen for this pageant?" and you start to gain confidence because you think that you're finally good enough. when you join the pageant, you were told that your teeth aren't white enough, so you had to go to the dentist to get your teeth whitened. you were then told that you did not have the perfect tan, thus, you had to use tanning spray to get the perfect tan. you were also told that your hair was disgusting, so bushy and curly and hard to maintain, so you had to go to the salon to get your hair permanently straightened. your confidence goes down. you think to yourself again "maybe i'm not good enough after all". doesn't it hurt? doesn't being pretty hurt? yes, being pretty does hurt. so really, does being pretty matter? do you think that being all sad, suicidal and emotional just because you're not pretty enough is worth it? no! because being pretty hurts, and it's just a waste of time. looks don't matter, it's the heart that matters. so before you pick up that blade because you think that you're not pretty enough, read this and think to yourself "will cutting really take away the pain? is it worth it? does looks really matter?" because really, looks don't matter at all. being pretty doesn't matter at all. having a good heart is what matters most.
